The STARTECH company, an exclusive German tuner of Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge; and part of respected tuning corporation Brabus, has respond to the introduction of portfolio of legendary American off-road – Jeep Wrangler.
It’s a „mother of all off-roads“, as everybody knows, but the Jeep Wrangler needs to face growing competitors, despite of its undoubted off-road genetics.
The competition includes smaller and bigger SUVs that can attract customers also without their appropriate off-road talent.
Jeep is aware of this uncomfortable situation, so it strikes back with a brand-new model Jeep Wrangler Unlimited that is the first model with diesel engine that has been a taboo for this American conqueror.
Also it’s the first model with four doors, but that means more comfort inside the full-blooded off-road.

Designers of Startech hasn’t finished the development of styling program for the new Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, so the main indication of exterior modifications are especially alloy rims Startech Monostar 9kX20, that reduce an unsprung weight of the car and that means better attributes on the „ordinary“ road.
Its high structural rigidity and surface resistance are attributes that allow driving with no fear in a hard terrain. Depending on driving conditions, the rims wear sporting or off-road tires 285/50 R 20. Also massive side stay bars for protection side sills are available as well as for the classic 3-door Wrangler.
A cover of spare wheel is a very fancy and useful element and it has a hem made of buffed stainless steel to improve the overall image of the rear part.
The Jeep Wrangler Unlimited can be obtained outside the USA also with the diesel aggregate. It’s a 2.8 liter CRD 4-cylinder engine with common-rail direct injection.
In its stock version it can produce 130kW (170hp) and 410Nm. But soon, the Startech engineers will introduce some power upgrade. At the first stage it will be only simple replacement with a modified ECU SD 4T and it’s important that this easy replacement can be done in all authorized Jeep workshops.
Specific numbers of this power boost are not known yet, and we don’t know about other more exacting improvements of the engine. But we know for sure, that exhaust will flow through the sporting exhaust finished with a pair of oval chromed tips symmetrically placed on both sides of the rear bumper.
In the near future, Startech would like to add a big interior program that includes also quality leather upholstery and prestigious accessories.
